Ministers consider parental advisers

The Guardian claims ministers are considering introducing a parental helpline, along the lines of NHS Direct, offering advice on accessing services and achieving a work-life balance.

Industry secretary Patricia Hewitt is reported to be championing the idea after receiving feedback from the Labour Party's "big conversation" events.
