Barr Holdings Limited

Sandra Osborne MP has welcomed re-assurances from Barr Holdings Limited about the future of the employees of the company following the publication of a recent article which reported large scale redundancies within the Company.

Sandra said:
‘I was extremely concerned at a recent press report which indicated large scale redundancies at Barr Holdings Limited as many of my constituents are employees of the Company.

Although the board has announced that the Company has received some expressions of interest from other companies, I have received assurances, to-date, from Mr Anthony Rush, Chairman, that there has been no decision taken for the sale of purchase of the Company and that there are no plans which involve redundancies.  At the present time they are recruiting new employees and with the current growth in the Company’s workload Mr Rush has told me that the Company would like to see the creation of new jobs within my constituency as being a possibility.

Mr Rush has also informed me that it is their intention that if there are any developments which will affect the workforce then they will seek their input and ideas for consultation.’
