MP Welcomes Piloting of BoND to Constituency

Sandra Osborne MP has welcomed the Government’s decision to pilot Building on New Deal (BoND) into her constituency.

The Government wants to build on the significant success of the New Deal programmes to ensure that appropriate support is available to those people who face the greatest barriers to work.  The vision for BoND is to give personal advisors and local managers greater flexibility, allowing them to provide more tailored support to meet the needs of individuals and local labour markets.

Sandra says:
‘BoND is to be piloted from October 2006 within 7 Jobcentre Plus areas throughout Britain.  I am delighted that Ayrshire, Dumfries, Galloway and Invercylde district Jobcentre Plus  has been chosen as it is the only Scottish constituency to be included in the piloting of BoND and I look forward to the benefits this will bring to my constituents.’
