Sandra Osborne MP delighted that speed limit is being implemented on B743 Ayr/Mauchline road at Failford

Having raised representation with both the Police and South Ayrshire Council on behalf of several constituents spanning over several years, Sandra Osborne, Member of Parliament for Ayr Constituency is delighted that the Police has agreed to implement a 30mph speed limit on the B743 Ayr/ Mauchline road at Failford.

Sandra said:

'I have been contacted by many constituents voicing concern at the dangerous speed of traffic on this road.  I have been in touch with the Police on several occasions to request that a speed limit be implemented and am delighted that an agreement has now been reached to implement  a 30mph speed limit commencing at the bends on the East side of Failford and continues through the village to the bends on the West side. I am further advised that there will also be gateway type features included.  Although a date of implementation has yet to be announced it is hoped that it will be in the near future.'
