Sandra Osborne comments on Scottish agricultural college announcement

SANDRA OSBORNE MP has commented on the recent publication of the Deloitte and Touche Phase 3 report into the future of the College and Campus at Auchincruive.

She said:

"I welcome the fact that SAC have finally listened and acknowledged the concerns expressed by all sections of the community about their original proposals which would have spelled the death knell to the Auchincruive site as an educational facility and resource to our rural areas.

"No one has ever denied that changes would have to be made but this must be done on the basis of constructive discussion and not dictates from management.

"This is an important facility in our area and I will continue to work with others to secure a viable future for Auchincruive."
