Further information relating to Farepak

Further to yesterday’s press release the following new information has been released relating to Farepak.

Alistair Darling MP, Secretary of State at the DTI yesterday informed the Trade and Industry Select Committee that the Company Investigations Branch have started an investigation into Farepak under the Companies Act 1985.

Ian McCartney, the Minister for Trade also met with the British Retail Consortium on Saturday 21 October to discuss the possibility of a goodwill gesture for people who had been saving for Christmas high street vouchers, hampers and gifts with the company and an update is expected by the end of the week.
