Sandra Osborne MP delighted at reinstatement of Dundonald-Ayr Direct Bus Service

Ayr MP Sandra Osborne has expressed her satisfaction with the decision of Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT) to reinstate the subsidised bus link from Dundonald to Ayr later this month.

Sandra said:
‘My office has been inundated with complaints since the withdrawal of the direct Dundonald-Ayr service and I have been campaigning for the service to be reinstated.

My Dundonald constituents were forced to spend almost an hour traveling by bus on an indirect route to get to Ayr.  Some people had decided giving up traveling to Ayr altogether.

This is a vital linking service for Dundonald.  The direct service, which takes 25 minutes, makes it possible for people to travel by public transport to work or shop in Ayr.  I am delighted that my constituents once again have that opportunity.
