Local Issues Update

Made Good Progress

• Cliffe Airport:
  Has been dropped and Bob was praised for his decisive campaign.
• Tip Smells:
  Are now much better, but need to be watched.
• Manor Concrete Works:
  Awaiting Traffic Study and now looking elsewhere. Hopefully this disruptive plan will not go ahead.
• Hospitals:
  The Heart Unit and Fossetts & Tyrells treatment centres are now pro-ceeding.
• Youth Nuisance: Bob’s
  Underage Drinking Act now being used to full effect.

Bob Fights On

• Road Congestion:
  Getting worse but no investment in solutions, just more house building.
• Council Tax:
  We pay £400 on average too much. Bob is fighting this.
• Train Whistles Nightmare:
  Bob continues to press the Council to move the foot crossing. The Council has dragged its feet for too long.
• 3rd Road for Canvey:
  Bob will not give up this battle.
• Youth Nuisance:
  We need more police on the streets, more arrests & tough action.
