MP Delighted At Re-Opening Of Glazebury Post Office
Warrington North MP HELEN JONES expressed her delight at the news that the Post Office are to re-open a branch in Glazebury.
In June 2004 HELEN JONES sought assurances from the Post Office that the future of the Glazebury branch would be secure following the retirement of the subpostmaster. In August 2004 she received those assurances and was told that the Rural transfer Advisor was personally working to maintain a facility in the area. That promise has now been kept with the news that a new subpostmaster has been appointed and the new branch will re-open at The Grey Horse on 14th November.
The branch will open from 9.00 am – 2.00 pm from Monday to Saturday and will offer the same range of services as the old post office.
HELEN JONES said:
"Glazebury has had an important part of its village services restored. I am delighted that the Post Office has delivered on its promise and that the new branch will open later this month. I know that many residents were worried that the service had been lost for good when the subpostmaster retired last year which was why I sought assurances I did. I am sure the new branch will be well supported by the local community."
