MP Instigates Traffic Survey At Winwick Park

Warrington North MP HELEN JONES has instigated a traffic survey at Winwick Park after receiving a number of concerns from residents who attended her recent ‘village surgery’ at Winwick Primary School.

Residents were concerned about the traffic system at the entrance to Winwick Park which leads on to the A49.  Difficulties have been experienced with people shooting the lights and with the pelican crossing being so close to the traffic lights controlling the roundabout. Many mums and dads were particularly concerned as they have to cross the A49 to take their young children to Winwick Primary School.

The MP has distributed a survey form to properties on the estate asking people for their experiences and comments. 

HELEN JONES said:

"Once I have received as many responses as possible I will ask both the police and the borough council to meet me and residents at the site to discuss their concerns in detail and to see if any improvements can be made."

Survey forms are being returned to the MP’s constituency office and can also be left at Winwick Primary School for collection. If anyone has not received a form they can contact HELEN JONES by phoning 01925 232 480 and a survey form will be sent to them.
