Stockport MP Ann Coffey last week presented children from St Paul’s CE Primary in Brinnington with a long-awaited camcorder for their school, at a Computer for Schools event at the Tesco store in Tiviot Way.
The MP congratulated all the parents, grandparents, staff and others who have been saving up their Tesco vouchers for three years so that the school can have the very latest state-of-the-art camcorder in school.
Ann Coffey said:
“I am so pleased the children at St Paul’s Primary have achieved their goal and turned their Tesco vouchers into the camcorder they dreamed for. This will make a great contribution to education at the school”
Julie Bottomley, the Headteacher of St Paul’s, said
"We are really thrilled with our prize. Every class will be able to use the camcorder as part of their IT learning, and we will be taking it away with us on study trips – as well as being able to record our drama presentations and other special occasions.”
