MP congratulates 100th “Temp to Perm” worker

Stockport MP Ann Coffey visited the Stockport branch of Labour Ready employment agency, which helps temporary workers into a permanent job.

The agency matches temporary workers, often people with fewer skills and who have most difficulty getting a job, with local businesses.  They work with local companies to help ensure the worker can make that important transition from being on benefits to being a permanent employee.

Ann Coffey presented an award to Wesley Hayden from Bridgehall, who is the 100th temporary worker at the Stockport branch to move into permanent employment through the “Temp to Perm” scheme.

Ann Coffey said:  “Local businesses and employees alike benefit when a temporary job can be turned quickly into a permanent job, and Labour Ready has lots of these success stories. Congratulations to Wesley.”
