Environment and Energy Helpline

Fully trained professionals staff the Helpline, with a panel of experts available to provide up to two hours of consultancy for specific enquiries.

The Helpline can provide information on:

• Increasing profits by reducing waste
• Reducing energy costs
• Cutting water and effluent costs
• Improving environmental performance and corporate image
• Key legislative issues and their affect on business
• Developing and using cleaner and more efficient technologies

Consultancy visits

For companies keen to improve their environmental performance, Envirowise offers a range of on-site consultations, where an Envirowise advisor will help your business to identify areas of avoidable waste and develop ways to help reduce it. Our range of visits include:

• FastTrack - A general survey of your site to identify areas of avoidable waste and advice on reducing it
• Designtrack - 80% of a product’s overall cost and environmental impact is a consequence of its design. Envirowise advisers will audit your products and processes, and help you develop an action plan for your company to implement cleaner design recommendations
• We can also provide your organisation with a half-day consultancy to tackle specific issues

Visits are all completely free and provided by independent advisers. Visits are only available to small and medium sized companies (SMEs) with less than 250 employees.

Events

Envirowise is involved in up to 200 events a year, with the aim of raising the profile of waste minimisation and resource efficiency issues. Through our events and workshops, organisations are able to learn about implementing waste minimisation and network with other organisations on ways to reduce waste and increase profits.
