Howard concerned at child laws

Michael Howard has pledged to review legislation introduced by the last Conservative government as part of a battle against "political correctness".

A review of legislation will cover the 1989 Children Act, the Tory chief said, as well as Labour's Human Rights Act.

Howard warned that political correctness had "gone mad" - leading to widespread "mollycoddling" of children.
