£70bn needed for big city transport

Four of England's biggest cities require a combined total of £70 billion to update their transport infrastructure, a report has found.

Professor Stephen Glaister predicted that London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle need the money to match transport systems in Paris and New York.
