Angela Tansley, quality manager, BUPA, said, 'AchievingISO 9002 is a significant endorsement of our quality standards. Although we didnot have to improve any of our processes, we all found it very valuable todocument everything that we do. We expect the hospitals we deal with to have arecognised quality accreditation, so why not us too?'

Fergus Kee, managing director, BUPA Membership, congratulated the teams on their outstanding achievement. He said: 'It is sorewarding to have our commitment to quality recognised in this way and it wouldnot have been possible without the dedication and support of our staff. Mostimportantly this demonstrates the effectiveness of our quality systems, whichconsistently put our customers first. This sets the standard for otherdepartments in BUPA to follow.'
