Jonathan Baume re-elected as general secretary
The FDA, theunion for senior public sector managers and professionals, today announced thatgeneral secretary Jonathan Baume had been re-elected unopposed for a secondfive year term, from March 2002. Baume said he was delighted at the news.
"It willbe a privilege to continue serving the FDA in the years to come. The civilservice and wider public sector face a big agenda of change and I look forwardto working in partnership with the government to deliver its reform agendawhile protecting the impartiality and high ethical standards of the civilservice, and safeguarding the best interests of public servants."
Jonathan Baumewas first elected general secretary of the FDA in March 1997 and was elected tothe TUC General Council in September.
