Comment by MarjorieWallace, Chief Executive of mental health charity SANE, on the NICE clinical guideline on NHS care in schizophrenia:

Sadly, the guidelines on their own are dream-lists whichwill be quickly eroded if the hospitals remain overcrowded and under-funded andthe staff insufficiently trained to care for mentally ill people either on thewards or in their homes. We urge government to provide the investment needed togive them a chance of being implemented.
