National Ideas Day 2002

BUPA is taking part in the second National Ideas Day - 14March - Einstein's birthday.
Employees are encouraged to develop business improvementideas throughout the year, but on this day there will be a number of activitiesaround the business to promote innovation and celebrate recent successes.
Last year Penny Booth, a BUPA care assistant, was awarded'best customer service innovation' in a national competition organised by IdeasUK for her pocket-sized flip chart,designed to improve communications for people with speech and hearingdifficulties.
Val Gooding, BUPA's Chief Executive said: 'BUPA has alwaysbeen committed to encouraging and listening to employees. Through One LifeIDEAS and Awards, BUPA's employee involvement programme, we have developed awide range of innovations suggested by our people. These really make adifference to the service we offer our customers.
