New officers for the new millennium
Sam Black, director of Leo AnimalHealth, has been elected as the new chairman of the National Office of AnimalHealth for 2000-2001. The election tookplace at the NOAHs AGM on 13 April. MrBlack is based in Buckinghamshire.
John McNally, head of sales atIntervet UK Ltd, was elected the associations new vice-chairman.
The treasurer remains the same:John Powell, commercial director of the Bob Martin Company. Philip Lowndes, chief executive of NovartisAnimal Health now becomes the NOAH past-chairman.
Mr Black trained in chemistry andstarted his career at Smith & Nephew in 1963 as a medicalrepresentative. From there he went onto join Leo Laboratories. Within five years he was the area manager, workinghis way up to field sales manager in 1977, sales manager for Edwin Burgess(Leo) in 1982 and then moving to head of production for Leo Laboratories atMiddlesborough in 1987. In 1992 MrBlack took on his current role as director of Leo Animal Health.
Mr McNally graduated from the Royal(Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in 1980. From there he worked in a mixed practice inSomerset, Shropshire and Ayrshire, latterly as a partner in a two man practice. In 1989 he joined Intervet as a livestockveterinary advisor and transferred to Mycofarm in 1994 as National SalesManager. In 1996 Intervet and Mycofarmmerged and he became National Sales Manager for Intervet. Mr McNally is now Head of Sales for IntervetUK Ltd.
