Tax inspectors celebrate their 100th

 

The Association of Her Majestys Inspectors ofTaxes and Senior Revenue Officials is celebrating its 100th birthdayas a trade union this week.

 

Its 100th AGM will take place onWednesday 15 May at the ICA in London.

 

The AGM is preceded by the centenary dinner on theevening of Tuesday 14 May at the Caf Royal.The event is being attended by Dawn Primarolo, the Paymaster General,three former Chancellors of the Exchequer Lord Jenkins of Hillhead, Lord Howeof Aberavon, and Lord Lamont of Lerwick.A previous General Secretary of the Union, Baroness Symons of VernhamDean will also be there. The dinnerwill be addressed by Jim Ferguson, President of the AIT, and Will Hutton, ChiefExecutive of The Work Foundation.

 

Gordon Brown will be attending the pre-dinnerreception.
