CHIEF LAND REGISTRAR TO CONTINUE AT LANDREGISTRY

 

The Secretary of State for Constitutional Affairs andLord Chancellor, Lord Falconer, has formally approved an indefiniteextension to Peter Collis appointment as ChiefLand Registrar and Chief Executive of Land Registry from 1 November2003.

 

Commentingon the extension to his appointment, Peter Collis said:

 

It has been a real privilege andpleasure for me to work at Land Registry and to see our organisation go fromstrength to strength in recent years. Iam proud to have played a part in shaping our plans for the future, and I wantnothing more now than to help turn those plans into reality.

 

Land Registry is an outstandingorganisation, with an exciting future.I am thrilled that I will continue to be part of it.

  1. Peter Collis was appointed Chief Land Registrar and Chief Executive of Land Registry on 1 November 1999 for a four-year term.

 

  1. Peter was educated at the University of Aston in Birmingham. He has worked in a number of policy and operational posts in the Departments of Industry, Prices and Consumer Protection, Trade and Transport. He was personal assistant to the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the National Enterprise Board.
