DSG (ex-DARA) St Athan TUPE settlement - joint communication
11 April 2008
MOD and Unite the Union (Amicus Section) have reached agreement in principle over the settlement of the Unite (Amicus Section) Failure to Consult claim made to the Cardiff Employment Tribunal raised in June 2006.
MOD and Unite the Union (Amicus Section) met the other Trade Unions representing employees in DGS (ex-DARA) St Athan - Unite (T&G Section), Prospect and PCS - on Wednesday 9 April and have achieved broad agreement on the full scope of the settlement.
The agreement in principle will apply to all DGS (ex-DARA) St Athan employees in post at 15th August 2004.
The terms of the agreement need to be captured within a legally binding Consent Order. Further information will be provided when the Consent Order is finalised and it is only then that details of the financial award can be made known. Until then the information remains legally privileged.
It is expected that DSG HR St Athan will write to all current and ex-employees who were in post on 15 August in the next 3/4weeks to check that the contact details held by them are accurate and up to date Your cooperation in this matter would be much appreciated as this action is aimed at reduce the administration associated with payment of the settlement to individuals.
