Potential Deputy Leader Speaks At NUT Fringe Meeting.

Jon Cruddas, the former Downing Street special adviser and Dagenham MP, has declared his interest in the post of Labour deputy leader.

He will be speaking tonight at the National Union of Teachers Fringe meeting ‘Which Way Forward’

A prominent opponent of the   Education Bill he was one of the leading rebels that forced the Government to rely on Tory votes to block a requirement that parents should be balloted over whether their schools should be trust schools
