ATL tribute to  Steve Sinnott, NUT general secretary

Mary Bousted, Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) general secretary, said:

"Steve Sinnott was a committed teacher, a passionate and effective trade unionist and a great General Secretary of the NUT.

"Steve led efforts to promote teacher trade unionism internationally and his efforts to promote understanding between Arab and Israeli teacher trade unionists were unremitting.

"He will be sorely missed and ATL extends its deepest sympathies to all NUT members and staff on their sad loss."
