IF THE Prime Minister’s recent heart scare had been more serious, he would have found coronary care considerably changed since March 2000, when the National Service Framework (NSF) for Coronary Heart Disease was launched. Heart disease is England’s biggest killer. Every year over 126,000 people die of heart problems and scientists expect one in three adults will be obese by 2020, putting themselves at risk of serious health problems unless urgent action is taken.
