Two non-executive directors have been appointed to the board of the NHS Information Authority. Sue Blanks, a member of the National Council for the British Association of Day Surgery, and Chris Hughes, chair of the Hearing Aid Council, both take up their appointments on April 1. The appointments will run for five years. Blanks has an extensive background in public sector IT project management in the NHS and local government. Hughes has spent 10 years as a member of health authorities and a local authority.
