Tories launch new web TV channel
The Conservatives have launched a new internet television channel in a bid to connect with young voters.
The 'branded channel' on the website www.friction.tv will show videos about the party's policies and views.
The Tories said the site would be an "online Speaker's corner", allowing people to express their own views through their webcam, camcorder, mobile phone, or text message.
A Conservative spokesman said: "In public life it is important that we never lose touch with those who elected us to represent and serve them.
"Friction.tv can help politicians and policy makers fully engage with people from around the country and beyond on a regular basis."
The site was launched with videos covering Conservative leader David Cameron's recent trip to California and his plans to "make British poverty history".
