Olympics board 'ignoring' Wales
Plaid Cymru has criticised the organisers of the 2012 Olympics for being too focused on London and the South East.
The party is concerned that the cultural and financial benefits which the Games will bring over the next six years will not be distributed across the UK, as has been promised by ministers.
Both Wales secretary Peter Hain and first minister Rhodri Morgan have said the Games will bring events and visitors to Wales.
But of the twelve members of the board of the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) announced by Olympics minister Tessa Jowell, none represent Wales, Plaid said.
Plaid MP Hywel Williams is placing a number of questions to Hain and Jowell about the process of selecting members to the ODA.
He said the agency has a "key function of ensuring a legacy for the whole of the UK."
"The board is overwhelmingly centred on London and the South East of England," said Williams.
"There is no representation from Wales or Scotland, or for that matter from large parts of England.
"I have no doubt that the board members are committed and enthusiastic. But on the face of it, none have direct knowledge of the great opportunities offered in Wales."
