| NHS nurses: Facing more reforms |
Ministers have risked worsening their "nanny state" reputation with bills on mental health and banning smoking.
The Department of Health is introducing a bill that will make treatment compulsory for people with mental health problems.
During the state opening of Parliament, the Queen also trailed plans to improve hospital hygiene, ban smoking in most public places, improve the NHS patient redress system, and further reform the health service.
