The latest polling has put the Tories within three points of Labour.

The YouGov survey for the Telegraph will add to confusion about the mood of the electorate with recent polls delivering very different results.

With 17 days to go until the general election, the poll puts Labour on 36 per cent, the Conservatives unchanged on 33, the Lib Dems up one on 23 and 'others' up one to eight per cent.
