Spin Machine: Drowning Britain
Intriguing is perhaps the best way to describe the latest Green Party advert (see below).
Unveiled on Monday, it highlights the possible impact of global warming on the coastline of Britain.
The party has been struggling to get its message across to much of the media.
There have been snippets on the television news, which is bound by impartiality rules, but fewer mentions in the national press.
With representation in the Scottish and European parliaments as well as the London assembly, the Greens may well feel they deserve a higher profile.
In general the environment has been one of the less-discussed issues of the campaign so far.
But with its new campaign the Greens appear set to take their message directly to the people.
The "vanishing Britain" image has been printed on tens of thousands of campaign leaflets, says the party.
The visual impact of the shrunken British Isles succeeds in making the point that global warming has serious implications (although it also indicates one long term solution to the Northern Ireland peace process).
However, given that nobody expects such drastic changes to occur within their lifetimes, there are still question marks over whether it will prompt anyone to change their voting intentions on May 5, especially as the accompanying text suggests such a situation would be "real progress".
But there's no need to head for the hills just yet.
The map is, explains the party, "not based on facts and figures".
