| Blunkett: Smear claim |
The husband of Kimberley Quinn has mounted a fresh attack on former home secretary David Blunkett following the latest twist in their paternity row.
After a DNA test confirmed that Blunkett is not the father of the couple's second child, Stephen Quinn has accused the former Cabinet minister of dirty tricks.
Media reports, which emerged after Blunkett's paternity was disproved, suggest the baby may have been born to an Indian businessman rather than Mr Quinn - who is registered as the child's father.
Whilst the Quinns claim the child is "our son" they have also made clear that they do not view biology as an important factor in the composition of their family.
An earlier DNA test confirmed that Blunkett is the father of Quinn's first child William and Blunkett stands accused of leaking the details of the second child's paternity to damage relations between the couple.
Speaking over the weekend Mr Quinn unleashed a fresh attack against the former home secretary.
"We are angry that Mr Blunkett has, yet again, chosen to talk to the press about matters concerning our family," he said. "He breached our family's privacy causing further upset."
Blunkett's legal bid for access to his two-year-old son is continuing through the courts.
Speaking on Saturday Blunkett said he wanted to move on.
"I have begun to know what it feels like to be under house arrest," he said.
"Since December I feel I've been imprisoned without trial."
