Local election results for 2003 only served to show that the Conservative hand in North East Cambridgeshire is, if anything, growing in strength.

As long as Mr Moss can ensure the unemployment rates for the constituency do not continue to rise while the figures for surrounding areas continue to fall, his party need not worry about immediate threats to power here.
