Inverclyde
Constituency profile
Under the Scottish boundary changes this seat has been formed from the old Greenock and Inverclyde division with the addition of five wards from the old West Renfrewshire.
Judging by the 2001 and 2003 election results, Greenock and Inverclyde’s middle-class voters seem to be slowly turning back to the Liberal Democrats.
The boundary changes should bolster David Cairns' majority however, and he should be very confident of winning Inverclyde at the general election.
Results
Due to boundary changes, no previous election results are available for this constituency.
