The recent Scottish boundary changes have had no impact on this constituency.

The seat which used to be known as Eastwood has been simply been renamed as East Renfrewshire and therefore maintains its previous voter makeup.

If the Conservatives are ever going to stage a political recovery in Scotland, then they must take back this ultra middle-class seat.

However, on present form, they show little signs of doing so, and it is most likely that Labour's Jim Murphy will retain the constituency.
