Constituency profile

This new seat is the result of the recent Scottish boundary changes. 

It comprises the South Lanarkshire wards from the old Glasgow Rutherglen seat and most of the old Hamilton South.

The new Rutherglen and Hamilton West seat will be solidly Labour.
