Constituency profile

This is a new seat formed under the Scottish boundary changes and comprises mainly of the old Paisley North electorate along with the addition of eight wards from the old West Renfrewshire.

The redrawn constituency boundaries will do nothing to stop Labour's dominance of their old heartlands, of which the Paisley seats remain a part.
