Henley
Constituency profile
Henley should be solid Tory territory and, apart from the 1995 council election results (when they were reduced to the status of third party in the council behind the Liberal Democrats and Labour), has been fairly loyal to the Conservatives.
However, the size of Conservative majorities has diminished markedly in the last ten years, while the Liberal Democrats have consolidated and progressed.
Nevethess, even if the Conservative decline continues at this pace, Henley should return a Conservative MP for at least the next two general elections, especially if their recent success in the local elections are anything to go by.
