Plymouth Devonport
Constituency profile
Devonport should remain safe for Labour but may be about to become a misnomer.
The Devonport ward itself is due to be moved into next-door Sutton after the next election.
The Boundary Commission in its prosaic wisdom suggested the new names of Plymouth North and Plymouth South.
The MPs objected and have been asking their constituents for suggestions, which have included Tamarside, Moorside, Moorview and even Manadon; but the name most favoured by local people is Devonport.
