Heywood and Middleton
Constituency profile
Overall the Labour areas of the seat will continue to dominate and ensure that Jim Dobbin and any successor should win in Heywood and Middleton for Labour unless they suffer a heavy national electoral defeat.
The new wards may make for closer contests in the future, but Labour should win.
The internal contrasts will make it an interesting seat to represent even though its electoral contests are a little more predictable.
