Chorley
Constituency profile
From being a key marginal to a safe seat, Chorley has become a symbol for the dominance of New Labour.
To say this is solid Labour territory now would be misleading though.
Lindsay Hoyle must be confident of winning this seat at the next general election, but any Conservative recovery in the future could threaten him and in the event of an overall Conservative majority, it is likely that this would be among the Conservative seats.
