Kilmarnock and Loudoun
Constituency profile
Scottish constituency boundaries have been redrawn to remove the over-representation of Scottish electors in the House of Commons as a reaction to the establishment of the new Scottish parliament.
Kilmarnock and Loudon is being retained as a constituency and will be enlarged by the addition of some 11,000 electors from the current Carrick, Cumnock and Doon valley constituency. These additional voters should shore up the majority held by Des Browne.
