Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire
Constituency profile
In its short life, the constituency of Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire has been very much a Labour seat.
The Conservatives have no representation at a local level, where there is a large independent representation.
Plaid Cymru will be hoping to establish themselves as the main challengers to Labour in general elections, as they already have done in successive elections to the National Assembly for Wales.
