Constituency profile

For the Labour Party to lose a seat such as Liverpool Walton is almost unthinkable, unless the Liberal Democrats manage to find some way of persuading the electorate that they should switch their allegiance at general elections, which they are adept at doing in the local political sphere.

The Conservative vote seems to have levelled out at around the 6 per cent mark.

It is unlikely to increase significantly for quite some time.
