Constituency profile

Wansbeck is home to a mixture of middle and working-class constituents, and the constituency needs greater investment if it is to be able to even out the divide between its citizens.

Given that the more working-class Wansbeck residents significantly outnumber their more middle-class counterparts in Castle Morpeth in the north of the seat, it seems Labour will be safe here in the foreseeable future.
