Conservative co-chairman Liam Fox has outlined the agenda for party conference and previewed the new Tory logo.

Fox said that the conference would be about "real people, not Westminster politics."

A number of non-party contributors had been invited and the conference was structured around "key themes", he said.

They include plans to "set the economy free, extending the right to choose and improving the quality of life".

Michael Howard will address the conference twice - on Tuesday and his main address on Wednesday.

The new logo is an update of the traditional torch graphic but now using red, white and blue colours rather than blue and yellow.

Fox said it was "time to reclaim our national colours from political extremists".
