Webminster Brief: The Budget 2003
The budget shows us just how bad things are getting thanks to this government's policies of Tax, waste and borrow.
The Chancellor is doing huge damage with high taxes. The telecoms tax led to slashed investment and lost jobs in that leading industry. The pensions tax has left many funds withinsufficient cash to meet their liabilities. Now we have the tax on jobs, which will increase the rate of job loss in manufacturing and vulnerable service areas. More will now transfer to lower cost countries. Somecompanies will go bankrupt.
The Chancellor does not seem to understand the seriousness of the crisis in pensions or manufacturing. Meanwhile he wastes money on Health administration, regional government, new quangos and public sectormismanagement of services like Net work Rail.
