Publication Of MP’s Expenses
The public deserve transparency. I want to be able to provide the best possible service to my constituents whether in London carrying out parliamentary duties or from my constituency office in Warrington.
Expenses do not form part of my salary and are not for my personal gain. They provide primarily for a fully staffed constituency office which is open five days a week. Over two thirds of my expenses pay for staff wages and the costs of my Bewsey Street office which includes such items as rent, council tax, phone bills and office furniture and equipment. The rest is taken up with postal and stationary costs which enables constituents to receive answers to the queries, the cost of renting surgery premises around the constituency, IT equipment for the constituency office, travel to Westminster and back from Warrington and London living costs
