Faster treatment for Islington people at our A&E departments

Emily Thornberry, MP for Islington South and Finsbury, has applauded huge improvements in A&E waiting times for Islington residents.
Statistics revealed last week (17th Feb) show that over 98% of people who attend A&E departments in local hospitals spend under four hours there.
Emily said:
‘These are huge improvements and it is fantastic news for people living in Islington. We should all thank the hospital staff for their extreme hard work and dedication in achieving these excellent results. Thanks to the record levels of investment in health by the government, our hospitals should carry on getting better and better.’
- Moorfields Eye Hospital’s A&E department had 11,712 attendees over the last year and 99.9% of those were seen within four hours.
- The Whittington Hospital 98% waited less than four hours
- University College London Hospital it was 98.6%.
